Quick and Dirty Dark Sun DCC

 This is my quick and dirty attempt to use the Benison and Doom system from DCC Lankhmar for the purpose of DCC Dark Sun. Later, I'll adapt existing backgrounds to have a set of human origins as well, but in the swords and sorcery tradition, I want to keep non-humans at least somewhat similar.

For my con game, I'll have Warriors, Thieves, Wizards, Priests and Psions(from Crawling Under a Broken Moon's "Mind Games,").  

Each ancestry has at least 1 benison + doom as a package deal. If benisons outweigh dooms, pay 3 luck as a levee, or take an additional doom. I'm not super interested in balance, or total adherence to Dark Sun, but this feels pretty decent to me.

Rules work to come: weapon breakage, Arena Crowd rolls, and defiling magic

Non magical - Gain a bonus to saves against magic = to stamina bonus +1


Tough - +1 HP/Level

Short - subtract 5’ per round from speed

Gruff - subtract 1 from crowd rolls

Elf

Fast +5 ft per round, with an additional 5 ft per positive dex bonus


Kevin Swordbow - +1 to attacks with swords and bows

Not Trusted - Subtract 2 from crowd rolls


Slight - Subtract 1 from your fortitude save

Halfling

Non magical - Gain a bonus to saves against magic = to stamina bonus +1


+1 to attack with slings

Not Trusted - Subtract 2 from crowd rolls


Small - subtract 10’ from movement, reduce hit die by 1 die step

Half-Giant

YUUUGE - Go up 2 on the dice chain for HP and weapon damage

Suggestible - subtract 2 from will save


Easy target - Missile attacks targeting PC go 2 up the dice chain

Mul

Mighty Thews! - HD and weapon damage go one up the die chain


Long Work - Exert self for stamina # hours

Weak Minded: - 1 to wil saves



Cross-breed: Sterile, sought out for kidnapping

Thri Kreen

Leaping!: Jump up to 20’ up and 50’ horizontally


Tough Exoskeleton: +2 AC


Multiple Hands: (Natural attack d4/d4/d4/d4/d6) or two weapon fighting as a halfing


Alien Mind: Immune to Charm

Disliked!: -3 to crowd Rolls



Armor will not fit


Chitin susceptible to rot, vulnerable to blunt weapons. Crits from blunt weapons deal double damage in addition to crit effects


-3 Luck due to too many benisons!
